printer-friendlySince 1984 the Brian Loxley Speech Studio has provided training in Voice and Speech Improvement, Accent Reduction, Presentations and Public Speaking, and Communication Skills to clients in business, medicine, law, the performing arts, media, and academia, as well as to private individuals. Training is provided in the Speech Studio in New York City, on-site, and by telephone. Training sessions range in length from one hour to several full days. The goals of the training are to help clients gain confidence in how they speak and present themselves, have greater credibility, and make a strong impact on others in both business and social situations. Clients are taught to speak clearly, correctly, and expressively; use language to excellent advantage, and communicate effectively. All programs begin with testing and evaluation and are then tailored to fit the specific needs and desires of the client. The training is based on a solid foundation of proven and widely accepted techniques but is also creative and personalized. If you have a need, or are experiencing a problem, in any of these areas, please contact us. We would like to help you.
The work of the Speech Studio was featured in an article on accent reduction in the New York Times on June 5, 2007 ("Accents on the wrong Syl-LA-ble," by Michael T. Luongo, Business section, page 6).
